Operational references to shape the Moodle platform¶
Moodle provides a set of functionalities and a semantic model envisioned in an e-learning approach.
The YOU(th) CARE project will be based in this model. But it will necessarily need some customizations and adjustments in terms of methodologies and concrete interactions with users, teachers and administrators. The following points are emerging from the dialogue between the YC coordination team and Traversées.
Graphical elements¶
The core graphical materials of the project have been shared by the YC coordination team (Sara Bonativacola). https://nextcloud.rio20.net/index.php/s/44m2GS5DYHCCGXe (including specifications to show the logo, fonts, and the EU disclaimer).
E-learning platform¶
-
Registration in Moodle
- Establish a simple way for students to register in Moodle, using these fields (nickname, birthdate, gender, main organization or network, blogs or website, social media).
- Enable a nickname custom field in the user registration: this nickname custom field is chosen by the final user and has to be a unique alphanumerical string. It means it has to detect the existing nicknames and check if there's no duplicate values before to validate a new nickname.
- A digital agreement, featuring a privacy statement, is being prepared by the YC coordination team and will go along the registration stage.
- The homepage should be internationalized in various languages (to be defined).
-
Include an evaluation process in Moodle (through a complex web form) that will be mandatory for users. A mechanism has to be found to lock the users until the form is not filled in. This form has to be internationalized.
-
Facilitate the export of data from reports and statistics to common formats (XLS, CSV, PDF).
Schedule¶
- A first learning session is scheduled to start the 17th of September 2024.
